Thanks to our project with Adidas, I've been slowly getting back to running and it wasn't until now when I realized how much I've actually missed it! Due to my severe knee pain I had to take a year off from running, so when I decided to try it again, I knew I had to be extra careful and couscous with my training to prevent my (previous) injury. And one of the best things to do that? Stretching! You've probably heard it many times before, but stretching (and warming up) your muscles is actually one of the most important parts of the whole workout! So without further ado here are just a few reasons why it's actually so important for all of us to stretch:
- helps alleviate soreness and avoid muscle cramps
- helps improving flexibility which increases your range of motion
